Subject : COMMENT ON THE MIDLAND HIGHWAY TOLL ROAD
Author : Jeremy Rockliff MP
Graeme Sturges' claims today that the Tasmanian Liberals are considering turning the Midland Highway into a toll road are bizarre, completely untrue and symptomatic of a Government that is becoming more desperate and panicked with every day.

The only toll on the Midland Highway that the Tasmanian Liberals are concerned about is the road toll.

I can categorically rule out a toll road on the Midland Highway and instead of fabricating idiotic claims to try to score some pathetic political point, I urge Minister Sturges to get behind the Liberals and our long-term vision for a four lane, divided, Midland Highway.
