Subject : $1.6 MILLION COST BLOW-OUT IN MINISTERIAL STAFF
Author : Hon Will Hodgman MP
It has been revealed that there has been a $1.6 million blow-out in the Green-Labor Government's spending on advisers and spin-doctors.

In contrast, Ms Giddings confirmed that the operation of the Liberal Opposition is within budget this financial year.

The revelations, in Estimates today, make a mockery of the Premier's claim to be making savings and cuts in this area. It's no wonder that Ms Giddings can't keep spending within the Government's $5 billion budget under control; she can't even manage the $20 million budget within her own ministerial offices.

It was also today confirmed that this year's total cut to DPAC is just three per cent, just half of the more than six per cent cut applied to Health.

In contrast, in the Liberal Alternative budget, we applied further cuts to DPAC, to ensure that precious funds could be directed to frontline services such as police, nurses, teachers and schools.
