Subject : GREEN-LABOR GOVERNMENT GAGS DOCTORS AND NURSES
Author : Jeremy Rockliff MP
The Minister today claimed she would not take action against anyone speaking out about issues they are passionate about - but only yesterday her own department distributed a thinly veiled threat against doctors and nurses who might speak at rallies arranged by the AMA and ANF. *

"Reminding" public servants of their obligations under the State Service Code of Conduct mere hours before a public forum is not a coincidence, it's a gag order.

People are dying waiting for treatment and it's abundantly clear that the Green-Labor Government do not want doctors and nurses speaking out about the devastating effects of their budget cuts on the Tasmanian health system and its patients.

Our doctors and nurses are at the coal face of our health system, they know exactly what is going on in our hospitals. They must be allowed to speak honestly, without fear of reprisal from a defensive and heartless Green-Labor Government.
