We need vision and leadership so that Mt Wellington can achieve its potential

Any development must meet the criteria established by the Mt Wellington Park Trust

I welcome the call for ideas on transport options for Mount Wellington.

I believe that an environmentally sensitive cable car would be a massive boost for Mt Wellington, and for tourism.

In 2006, the Liberals committed to investigating options for an unobtrusive, environmentally friendly cable car.

Unfortunately, through a lack of vision and leadership, the State Government has failed to unlock the potential for tourism based around Mt Wellington.

This is just another example of where the Premier has failed to show leadership. The Premier needs to clearly explain whether or not he supports a cable car and what his government is going to do to make sure that Mt Wellington can reach its potential.
