Share your #TassieStyle this summer

Tasmania will be trending on social media this summer with the second annual #TassieStyle campaign kicking off today.

This festive season Tourism Tasmania is encouraging all Instagrammers to share their Tasmanian experiences and #TassieStyle with the rest of world.

Word of mouth recommendations are a powerful influence on people’s holiday choices. Sharing holiday snaps on social media expose friends, family and peers to what’s great about Tasmania from a trusted source. Today’s ‘likes’ and ‘shares’ can bring tomorrow’s visitors.

Summer is the best time for the campaign, with the peak visitor season expected to bring about 250,000 travellers to our shores and many more Tasmanians holidaying in their own state.

To encourage people to share their holiday snaps on social media, Tourism Tasmania is offering the chance to win one of three $7,500 Tasmanian holiday vouchers, as well as weekly $500 travel vouchers.

To enter, visitors and locals can simply post their Tassie photos or videos to Instagram using #TassieStyle with a caption that best describes how the post reflects their #TassieStyle.

The Government has a target of 1.5 million visitors to Tasmania each year by 2020, and the global reach of social media will assist us to achieve this goal, while also providing more reasons for visitors to stay longer and see more of our state.
