Dow's dull moment

Mark Shelton, Minister for Local Government
Labor MP Anita Dow has finally broken her silence as Shadow Minister for Local Government and in an embarrassing gaffe, completely missed the mark.
It’s clear that Ms Dow is blindly following the bad habits of her party by fudging the truth in the hopes of getting a headline.
Despite her ridiculous assertions, the fact remains that the matter of councils unlawfully rating independent living unit providers was actually resolved by the High Court this year and since that decision, the Government has advised the sector that a negotiated outcome is our preferred position.
Through the Local Government Association of Tasmania, the Local Government sector has been participating in negotiations with Aged and Community Services Australia and each party has agreed to continue these discussions in the new year including through a round-table which is being organised by the Local Government Division.
Has Ms Dow told residents and retirees they should be paying higher taxes under Labor?
