Nic was born in Hobart and educated in the Catholic system at St Aloysius, St Virgils and finally Guilford Young College. He graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Commerce (Majoring in Marketing and International Business) in 2001.
From 2002 until 2014 Nic ran the family business at Blackmans Bay dealing mainly with the finances and administration of the business. In 2011 Nic was elected to Kingborough Council at his first attempt, becoming the youngest Councillor in the municipality. He was re-elected for a 2nd term in November 2014 and was appointed the Chairman of Council’s Governance and Finance Committee as well as Council’s appointed representative on the Audit Panel.
Following the 2014 State Election, Nic worked as an advisor to the Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business and Trade, Adam Brooks MP.
Nic is a former player and Board member at Kingborough District Cricket Club and a former player at North West Graduates Hockey Club where his father is a Life Member.
