Mr Nic Street
Liberal Candidate for Nelson
Nic Street was born and raised in Kingston and Blackmans Bay, where he still lives today. Nic is a graduate of the University of Tasmania and for most of his working life he was a small business operator, running a successful family business in Blackmans Bay.
In 2011 Nic was elected to Kingborough Council where he served until being elected to replace Paul Harriss in the State Parliament in 2016. As a Member of Parliament, Nic was a strong advocate for responsible development and economic growth that helps keep people in housing and jobs. He was proud to stand up for individual rights and freedoms and supported voluntary assisted dying legislation.
Nic is a passionate Tasmanian and proud Hobartian. With Tasmania’s popularity on the rise, Nic is a firm believer that it is every level of Government’s responsibility to ensure that our State continues to be the best place to live, work and raise a family.
As a representative for the people of Nelson, Nic will be a strong advocate for the community and will work as part of the majority Hodgman Liberal Government to achieve results that no other candidate can deliver.
