Strong Plan for the future of Tasmania's leaders

Supporting the future leaders of Tasmania today means a brighter future for Tasmania tomorrow.

A re-elected majority Rockliff Liberal Government will continue our support for the Young Leaders of Tasmania by investing $310,000 per year over the next five years.

Premier, Jeremy Rockliff, said that he is passionate about enabling young Tasmanian leaders to thrive.

"Under our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future, we will be an active and strong supporter of the YLOT program by providing $1.55 million for the next five years," Premier Rockliff said.

"Our Liberal Government has been thrilled to be a part of YLOT's ongoing success since its inception in 2018 and understand how important it is for this to continue.

"I have been particularly encouraged to hear of the many participants in the Young Leaders All Abilities Program who have gone on to pursue careers in the disability sector.

"I hope that with the extension of this program state-wide we will see more young Tasmanians choosing a career in the sector, alongside increased awareness and a shift in how we as a society perceive disability.

"Under our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future we will continue to ensure that our next generation of future leaders are given the tools they need to thrive."
