Providing strong support for Tasmanians with Cystic Fibrosis

Tasmania’s peak body supporting those with Cystic Fibrosis will receive funding support as part of the Liberals’ 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s future.

“Cystic Fibrosis Tasmania will receive $60,000 over three years,” Minister Barnett said.

“CFT provides incredible support to those living with Cystic Fibrosis and their families.

“A re-elected majority Liberal Government will provide the organisation funding to employ a part-time Administrative Officer.

“Cystic Fibrosis primarily impacts the lungs and digestive system and Osteoporosis, Diabetes, Pancreatic Insufficiency, and Bowel and Liver Disease are some of the many complicating factors.

“Over 115 Tasmanians live with Cystic Fibrosis today. The work that CFT does is tireless and this will go a long way to ensuring more Tasmanians get the support they need.”

Only a re-elected majority Liberal Government has a 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s Future and to support those in our State with this debilitating disease.
